"I don't understand what you are talking about."
Sorry. This is the best I know how to explain.
He is using the google box on Firefox for searching, but when he clicks on a link in a search, the browser crashes.
Firefox isn't a search engine, it is a browser. I'm using it right now. I've never had a problem with the internet disappearing. If I ever do, I will call Al Gore to complain.

LOL.
Yes, one of my investment sites kicks me off because of Firefox and they told me their system did not allow Firefox. As soon as I mentioned it, they knew about the problem with Firefox. I have to use Internet Explorer on their site.
Perhaps it is the company that is incompatible and not your computer.

Thank you for your help in clarifying this.
You broke the internet.
"Perhaps it is the company that is incompatible and not your computer."
Thank you for this. May have to switch browers entirely.
It took me a minute to decode it. ;O)
"You broke the internet."
Sorry. Do you suppose Al Gore warrantees it?
In the upper right corner you will see a "G" in a box. "G" is for Google.
Click on the "G" and a drop-down will appear with other Icons to click on, etc.
I suggest you stick with Google Search Engine as you learn.
I prefer Firefox but sometimes I have to use Internet Explorer.
Actually, I-E gives me no end of grief -- "error" "send report" then kicks me off the internet in the most irritating places (eg. just when I'm completing my order at Amazon.com). I probably need to reformat but I haven't had time.

Thank you for your guidance.
It sounds like the site has a Javascript browser sniffer program that fails to open in the Fire Fox browser.
Browser sniffer scripts are very old hat, meant to ensure that the user supports scripts that include CCS and Layers. The script used to launch an alert box telling you to update your browser or install both IE and Netscape.
The sit is funky and contains crappy code. A GUI nightmare.
Either that or Bill is paying companies off to block Fire Fox.

Thank you. I will also pass your guidance on to my son.
As I said, Freepers are the best.
Thanks. I just tried it, and it popped off
again--using Google.
