Perhaps a faggy dork like you said but now a wealthy one who even earned his degree after the Idol competition and a truly productive member of society.

I wish we had more faggy dorks like this man.

Clay and his followers are beginning to bear a resemblance to old MJ and his ultra devoted fan base.

Why am I picturing your business cards as being "ribbed for her pleasure?"

If Clay doesn't like what is being said about him, maybe he should just go beat them up. Oh, wait.... never mind.

I say this in all honestly because I don't know. How many hits has Clay had? I listend to a Mix station (80's 90's and today) at work and from what I can tell, Clay doesn't get any airtime.

That's one of the biggest complaints we've (Clay fans) have.

Who else can go triple platinum with their first album and not have more than 2 songs played on the radio? And those two were played infrequently. :-/

His singles sold more copies than Elton John's "Candle In The Wind" (the Princess Diana version). No easy feat that!

Other than "Invisible" and "The Way", none of his other songs off of the "Measure of a Man" album were heard by the general audience. Weird.

I've got no explanation for it.

Let's not forget his Christmas Album -- MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH LOVE. It has already gone platinum and will probably sell well every year because of his unique interpretation of these timeless classics ( brillant move to create a Christmas album at the peak of your popularity IMHO).

As to why Clay is popular inspite of limited radio airplay, think about a group called the GRATEFUL DEAD. I really don't hear a lot of their music on the radio ( heck who would want to play a song that goes on and one for 15 minutes ? But for some inexplicable reason, they have a cult following even today. They are called DEADHEADS and as long as these people are alive, THE GRATEFUL DEAD will always have a venue.

So, for Clay Aiken, I have one word for you --- CLAYMATES. Clay Aiken has a CULT FOLLOWING composed of people of ALL AGES ( chidlren and grandmothers included ). They see in him, an echoe of what they can be or their children or grandchildren can become -- ORDINARY LOOKING BUT SUCCESSFUL. In other words, he is the epitome of success for middle America.

He's a nice guy. He was polite to my family. I can't say anything unkind about him.

I think she was the Idol makeup artist.

I don't care if he's homosexual, I just hope he records another album and keeps going with his charity work. If he was involved with this ex-Marine he wasn't very smart about it. Since it appears he was in NYC, not a fleabag motel in North Carolina I suppose the point is moot.

The thing that annoys me are the organized efforts to "out" folks be it Congressman David Dreier (R) during the '04 campaign or several others up on The Hill or folks in Entertainment.

The ambushed outing campaign goes after them because they're not part of some cultural jihad for homosexual marriages.

What's the point of suing? It'll just bring more attention to the story. He apparently moved back to his native North Carolina from Los Angeles in an effort to regain some privacy and normalcy.

If the Enquirer were really serious about this piece, they'd have put it on the front page instead of buried inside as I've read they did.

I am a bit surprised the NY Post, which has something of a sibling relationship with Fox and thus Idol, would print it even on the infamous Page Six.

As long as he's singing and doing good works and not up on a political soapbox calling for Bush's impeachment for sending Katrina to kill all the black folk, or some drivel typical of entertainers I'm going to continue to buy his CDs.
