A+ for the use of the Vosotros form of the verb. are you a new student ? : )
i take no credit but dang i feel the blame of bad behavior or other failings! i wish i could divest myself of it!
I'm a transfer student.
My old teacher really loved me, but she kept me in her class for three years. That was in 8th grade.
I'm new at new words. But doesn't "divest" mean to disrobe? ;)
i hope your old teacher hasn't appeared on FR as the subject of one of the various and sundry sex scandals in the news ; )
divest v 1: take away possessions from someone; "The Nazis stripped the Jews of all their assets" [syn: deprive, strip] 2: deprive of status or authority; "he was divested of his rights and his title"; "They disinvested themselves of their rights" [syn: disinvest] [ant: invest] 3: reduce or dispose of; cease to hold (an investment); "The company decided to divest"; "the board of trustees divested $20 million in real estate property"; "There was pressure on the univeristy to disinvest in South Africa" [syn: disinvest] [ant: invest] 4: remove (someone's or one's own) clothes; "The nurse quickly undressed the accident victim"; "She divested herself of her outdoor clothes"; "He disinvested himself of his garments" [syn: strip, undress, disinvest
That stuff is always from the dad's side, silly. ;)
oh GOOD! : )
Two beggars
Two beggars are sitting side by side on a street in Mexico City. One has a cross in front of him. The other one the Star of David. Many people go by and look at both beggars, but only put money into the hat of the beggar sitting behind the cross.
A priest comes by, stops and watches throngs of people giving money to the beggar behind the cross, but none give to the beggar behind the Star of David. Finally the priest goes over to the beggar behind the Star of David and says: "My poor fellow, don't you understand? This is a Catholic country. People aren't going to give you money if you sit there with a 'Star of David' in front of you, especially when you're sitting beside a beggar who has a cross. In fact, they would probably give to him just out of spite."
The beggar behind the 'Star of David' listened to the priest, turned to the other beggar with the cross and said: "Moishe, look who's trying to teach the Goldstein brothers about marketing."
OMG LMAO!
We guys have been telling you women that for CENTURIES!
ROFLMSS!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG did she really ??? i thought that was a PARODY!
The 'rats are having a pity party
So thatthey can pout and whinge
They're making it a real a wingding
And everyone gets to binge
John F'in can malign Alito and
Queen Hillary can winze the whole nation
While fat Ted tries to cover his
Foul and scovey reputation
Hubby is doing just great and sleeping, I'm tired and hungry and don't really want leftover beef stroganoff for supper, but don't know if I have the energy to grill steaks.
oh GOOD<, t5, i am so glad to hear it went well for your hub!
I'm so relieved it went so well-the surgeon told me hubby could be back to his pre-injury lifting capacity in three to four months if he starts slowly and doesn't lift over 10 lbs. for 6 weeks. He is still a bit groggy and unsteady, but was pretty much awake by the time I got him home at around 11:30, and fixed him some lunch, and he is not in as much pain as we both feared he might be. Between being in a hurry and sympathetic for his fasting, I have not eaten today-I can keep going for another few hours, though if I put my mind to it-I'm grilling the steaks, because hubby expressed a desire for one before he went to lie down, and I'm starving and want one, too...
well don't go passing out from hunger, he needs you!
