I agree with you about Brit Hume; he's got me "heart and soul". There is no one even close for asking the right questions at the right time and NOT letting anybody get away with "talking points", left OR right. That said, I don't get too chafed about Brian Wilson or Jim Angle when they sub for him; they're quite good, just not at the same level. I haven't seen enough of Tony Snow lately to have an opinion, but I used to like him almost as much as Brit.

I like Wilson and Angle as well. They are both terrific reporters. That's part of what Hume is so amazing at—putting together a take no prisoners team. After all, he also has Greg Palkot and Eric Shawn among others.

As far as Tony Snow, I miss him. But he is a different kind of anchor than Brit and I think he is perfect on the radio. Gut instinct is that his health problems have taken a bite out of him, but that he is coming back strong.

Tony will always be one of my favorites and when he speaks from his heart, he has an uncanny ability to make me cry. He once wrote a column about his wife and the sacrifices she made for him and his children that caused me to use three boxes of tissues. It revolved around "take your child to work day." I miss his writing especially.

Finally, Chris Wallace has been a pleasant surprise. He isn't quite as even handed as Brit, but he isn't Matthews/Russert or even his father for that matter. I think FOX is his best shot at being a world class newsman and that with time he will get there.
