The problem is, if the terrorists do nuke an American city or cities some day, exactly where do we retaliate?

We would not need to take credit – it was just an accident that happened to the terrorists who destroyed American cities. Terrorist bomb makers have accidents all the time.

"Some here like to impress everyone (and themselves) with their time here. They get a rise out of ridiculing people if they are relatively new here. Ignore them."

Boy and how. I sure picked up on that. Thanks. :) I'm acquainted with some who are impressed with little more than the sound of their own voice, or when the Internet is concerned, the sound of their own keys clicking away. Shame. But on the bright side, I have my first entry in my "users to not bother talking to". :) How long should I expect that list to become?

That article is chilling for sure. Even if it's improbable, just the possibility of it is enough to really scare me. I'm glad I live in a small town several hours drive away from a major city. It's such a different mindset we are fighting in the Islamo-fascist terrorists. I mean, had we gone to war with the Soviet Union at some point, so long as they kept it conventional, I would NEVER have agreed with a nuclear launch initiated by the U.S. or its allies. No one wins a nuclear exchange when both sides have them. China would be the same thing in my mind when the time comes that there is a war with communist China, which I believe will happen. So long as they don't launch on us first, America should keep the war non-nuclear. But with the Muslims. They just flat don't care. They could give a d**n about radiation. They could give a d**n about cancer or fall out, or ecological disasters, or the deaths of innocent woman or children, even if they're some of their own Muslim people. Where as America would never strike back at the Muslims by nuking a Muslim city with hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians since there is no military target, the Muslims would his a major U.S. city with a nuke to kill millions of American woman and children and that IS their first choice, passing on many military targets because they're so fanatical and cowardly, they won't engage the military directly. It's a hard battle to fight. We are paying the price now for the opening of Pandora's Box in 1945, but thank God we opened it first. Now that the world knows the repercussions of using nuclear weapons, it appears that only the Muslims don't care. Even the Chinese would be unlikely to do that if there was full out war with the U.S., since even they know that just 50 ICBMs would end the existence of China as a country, and destroy any possible chance of the communist regime surviving. The Muslims are the only ones crazy enough to do that and not care. Talk about a "devil may care" attitude. The useful application of that phrase is ironic with the "devil" being mentioned in it also, since it’s regarding the Muslim terrorists. They are the devil on earth right now. First the nazi, then the soviets, now the Islamo-fascists. The sooner those among us **cough** liberals, realize that and get on board with saving freedom in the country and bringing it to ALL people, the better.

"Yes, but I'd say five years is closer to reality."

Well, I'd tend to agree but I am hoping that because of the amazing success the Bush Justice Department and NSA, CIA, FBI, military intelligence, etc. have had, we get a few more years, since it would take a liberal democrat President victor in 2009 **shudder** a year or two to dismantle all the good things Bush has done that have prevented another attack in the U.S.. I think it will happen eventually no matter what unless Islam ceases to exist and that won't happen. Eventually, nuclear technology will be so readily available and so cheap, it will be unstoppable and those who cannot win appeal at the ballot box, like the Islamo-fascist terrorists, will use nuclear weapons to take control by force that the masses will not give them freely. So I'm hoping for 10 to 20 years or more, but sadly, given the involuntary genetic stupidity of liberals, scantly over five years may must be more accurate. I am sure you'll understand when I say that I hope and pray that you are dead wrong. It's impossible to really comprehend the far reaching ramifications of a nuclear strike on American soil. I don't think liberals really think it could really happen and that's why they behave so naively towards the terrorists and treat Conservatives like they're a bigger danger to America than the terrorists. Ignorance and stupidity among liberals is as big a threat to this country as the terrorists are.

"The yield may be close, but at only 50 – 80 kilos there wouldn’t be much shielding. They would be easy to find.

And thank God for it. What you said is one big thing that I am very hopeful for and encouraged by. To have adequate shielding that would evade remote radioactivity detection, it would no longer be "easily mobile". It would have to be fixed in a small car, boat, or plane, and take two or more people to move it by hand. Two VERY large strapping people. That kind of shielding is quite heavy. :)

While I doubt anyone at the NSA or CIA would confirm it, I feel confident that there are at least a couple satellites in orbit right now that are capable of detecting radioactivity from orbit, and that they spend a great deal of their time combing the areas in and around American cities, especially those nine on the list in the World Net Daily article, looking for possible nuclear weapons or materials. There are surely quite a few people in the intelligence industry on the ground that do the same thing, with portable equipment that detects it from a distance also. And you can bet ALL of them know all the places, military bases and depots, nuclear reactors, hospitals, etc., that radioactive materials should be, and they certainly know all the places it shouldn't be. God willing if there are any in the country, the terrorists haven't found a hospital they've managed to hide it in. That's doubtful though.

I heard that. :) The proverbial scum bag felon murderer who "bumped his head and fell down" while being placed gently into the clean squad car by friendly law enforcement officials. ;) Hehehe. Accidents do indeed happen. Like if there was raging fire that utterly destroyed a large city like Mecca or Medina or Damascus or Tehran, would there really be anyway to PROVE that it was started by a U.S. high power laser satellite in orbit, hypothetically of course, IF such a thing existed? Something to think about.

It’s my understanding that they have been up there for a couple decades.

Yep. Defecation occurs – even to terrorists.

Shhhhh. ;) Thank God for the Reagan defense build up in the 80s. That paid for them after all. I hope there are more than a few of them and that they are being used 24-7.

And if it's not caught on camera, how can one really know what happened? Heehee. :)

Yep. Except for residual radiation the evidence is pretty much vaporized.

Hopefully "enough" is maybe 100. :) And I'd prefer that they're under the control of the military or the NSA. There are still so many liberal clinton posers hiding out in the CIA, like the State Department, I'd prefer that as much as possible is done through the Military Intelligence and the NSA.

I was just quoting from the article. I do not have an alternative source, sorry.

Better the NSA at this point than the CIA, given what we've been hearing recently of the liberals still clinging to life in the CIA and using their authority to screw the administration and the war effort every chance they get. I haven't heard of there being that kind of mindset in the NSA. Hopefully the liberals there have been effectively weeded out the past few years. God willing the ones in CIA and State Department will be shown the door very soon. They should have been put to pasture years ago.
