Thanks! Awesome list.
Let me be honest, there are a few names on there that I WON'T be missing. Molly Yard is a notable.

I wasn't aware of Colonel Hackworth's death. No wonder he hadn't been opining on FOX recently. I knew he hadn't been on for awhile because he was getting too "out there" with his bizarre theories, but still wasn't aware that he'd died.

Yes, it was hard to watch. I don't know who put him up to appear, but I would have been happy if he just appeared, or showed his face.

When he couldn't keep the countdown straight, I cringed. But he still gets major props for having the courage to be televised. So all things considered, good job Dick!

It was. But I understand he has come a long way. So, good job to him.

To all on the list, RIP.

But I will really miss Luther Vandross and William Rehnquist.

I don't know who put him up to appear,

You know he loved doing that show. Perhaps he was okay with the accomplishments he has made thus far, and was comfortable with how he sounded.

Kudos to him for being secure enough to do it. Most people would be too vain. I was proud of him.

He gets major props for doing it, and in that I agree with you. That particular show was his love, yet it's rather hard to accept that it's not going to be like it was.

This is slightly off-topic but since you all are talking about death and I didn't want to start a thread about this....this just happened about 20 minutes ago.

About 20 years ago, the father of the family who lived in my house before me had a heart attack up in the attic and died. Left behind a wife and three young daughters. Very sad.

Today, New Years Day, I was up in the attic doing some work and pulled up one of the attic floorboards. A small piece of paper with some writing on it fluttered up from its hiding place. This is what was written on it.

I wish you a merry Christmas
I wish you a merry Christmas
I wish you a merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!
- James Bartkovich

This was the guy who died up there 20 years ago. Creepy huh? I think I'll hang around downstairs for a while.

It's always hard to watch people get old. People you have watched for years and years, and suddenly the get mortal on you.

I think it is a subtle reminder of our own advancing age, as well.

Kinda cool, kinda creepy. I think I would frame it. What a very weird coincidence. Hope you are not alone. ; )
