or because of the actors' political statements. I can't enjoy a movie when I start out PO'd at the lead actor.

Yes, that has ruined many films for me, and unfortunately, even some of the older ones that have been my favorites from the 70's, 80's, have become tainted since the events of the 90's and the horrible metamorphosis since JFK of the CRAT party that took lbj, cahtah and especailly uox42 to really wake me up to the LETHAL threat the CRAT poses to our republic.

Good morning. Not bad in paradise, about 48 degrees and clear skies. Should get up to 71 today. Seems like we had an abnormally cool autumn.

Thank you for getting us started each day in the Chair's absence.

There's only one true Democrat left, and he retired last year: Zell Miller. Except possibly for Joe Lieberman, the rest are just RATS.

Seems some in the RAT camp are having second thoughts about blocking the Patriot Act and the wiretapping story.

good morning .. welcome back! Interesting story YOU will appreciate. I turned down a few Christmas invites but at last minutes accepted one from long time friend Paul(age 78 - never married & from Canada originally) from one of his faculty friends from Gilmour Academy. I had only met them socially at various functions but found them a delightful younger (my son's age) couple.

All four of them - hubby, wife & two daughters aged 11 & 9 - were Vegetarians! My friend Paul was the carnivore of the group. Outstanding meal. the dad & 9 year old made homemade basil pasta & there were all sorts of fun dishes.

Normally at a traditional meal I have plenty to eat with veggies, bread & salad.. but this was a special treat. Also the folks were wine & movie people so despite the fact they were all chemists, the conversation was in areas of my enjoyment zone.

Why I despise the American media....

I woke up to an NBC report from Lisa Meyers on her interview of the Taliban commander who KILLED the SEAL TEAMS....Meyers should be ashamed of herself....they showed footage of a NAVY Seal being asked to surrender....by that time my BP was thru the roof.

CNN is running with an attack on rendition....and the NYTimes continues its assault on the wiretaps.

"The Democrats' vulnerability on national security is not a new problem, but standing up for civil liberties and the Constitution will not make the problem worse and, besides, it's the right thing to do," said Bill Galston, a one-time Clinton White House adviser.

"In standing up for civil liberties and the rule of law, Democrats are not undermining the party's standing on national security," he said.

He's right you know. Everybody knows the RATS stance on national security is defeat.

Homemade basil pasta sounds delicious! I made some stuff to take to the in-laws for Christmas, and will FReepmail you the list and recipes later for your veggie/health forum.

What were the other fun dishes?

Unless it's F&F, I never watch the morning gabfests anymore. I stick to talk radio, or Walton and Johnson(regional morning lunes on the radio), unfortunately, they're on vacation till after the New Year.

I read somewhere yesterday the President has had several meetings with news exec's asking they not run with all these SCOOPS that are damaging the war effort....and of course they are running the stories any way.

God help those news editors if an attack takes place and there stories caused it.

it won't be pretty.

Yes, they certainly are, and they want to destroy anything in their path to get back in power.

To these editors, it's more important to hurt Dubya, and the GOP, politically and help the RATS than protect American lives and interests. If, God forbid, something should happen, they'll just ignore their own complicity and cry "It's Bush's fault!"
