The end of the period. Pill will let women stop menstruating. Liberation or reckless experiment?

Commenting "fun!" with reference to injury, death, and lawsuit is a lot like saying "great, just great" with reference to a tsunami. But somehow I didn't take you for an ipsissima verba literalist.

Having been on a similar drug called 'Seasonale' for medical reasons, trust me... you'd rather deal with the PMS. The way these pills throw off hormonal balance is worse than the real thing. More mood swings, depression, weight gain, supressed sex drive, etc.
Anytime you alter the body's natural hormonal level, someone else will pay!

the feminist movement is a failure that only harmed women and the american family.

Anoreth is going to invent a SARCASM hologram that will work either on your, and your viewer's, computer screen, or in the open air ... but right now we have to get Patrick toilet trained. Maybe we'll have it ready in 2006 :-).

Vitamins can help with this. Get "Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition" by Marilyn Shannon. I had amazing results when I was taking the recommended supplements for my (non-PMS) symptoms. (This was before my last three pregnancies, which have a totally different set of symptoms :-).
Sympto-thermal charting can be useful for identifying hormone imbalances that could be causing problems. The basal-temperature reading is particularly useful. Information available at www.ccli.org.

It is the Roman Catholic Church, or a Catholic Church. It hasn't been The Catholic Church since it split Roman and Greek.
Totally inaccurate. The term "Roman Catholic" isn't the product of a split between "Roman" and "Greek." "Roman Catholic" was originally a pejorative term that began in English-speaking countries. See:

I'm on Medicare and sadly, the period is still with me (will be for a long time, I'm 24!). Just cursed all around I guess.

Catholic means universal. When that church ceased to be the universal, ie. with the Greek/Roman split, it ceased to be The Catholic Church and became only one of hte contedners, a Catholic Church.
Only when all christians join it will it once again be The Catholic Church.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding work wonders for menstrual suppression. I wish...............I was nearly 3 months pregnant before I stopped menstruating, and breatfed my daughter until she decided to quit at 10 months old, but my periods had resumed before she was 4 months old.

All around the world, in virtually every language, the Catholic Church is referred to with the definite article ("la Iglesia Católica," "l'Eglise Catholique," "die katholische Kirche," "la chiesa cattolica," etc). And everyone knows what church is meant. You can dispute that until you're blue in the face, but the chances that anyone other than a few cranks will ever refer to "the" Catholic Church as "a" Catholic Church are, of course, zero.

Didn't the World Health Organization just classify the pill as highly carcinogenic this past year?

The birth control pills on the market now still make you have your period. I love to get my hands on this product.
It's the same product as the bcps on the market. All they do is have the women take them all month, instead of just 21 days and then 7 days of placebo. If you take active pills all month, you won't get a period. Many women do it already with their regular bcp prescriptions.

I've been pinged, so here's my 2 cents. I've never used a birth control pill, never had a fertility problem, had as many kids as the Lord saw fit to send me. I've never had PMS; I don't even believe in PMS. You want to behave badly, you can blame the planets in your horoscope too; doesn't make it so. Doing away with periods in healthy women for the sake of convenience is insane in the fullest sense of the word.

I'd have to get the book out to be positive (actually, I gave it to Cyborg, so I need to buy a new one :-), but I know it included Vitamin A, Flax Seed Oil, B6, Kelp, and Cayenne powder. Cayenne is also a good weight loss aid, because it's hard to eat when you feel like you've swallowed hot coals!

Are you on Medicare or Medicaid? I always thought that Medicare was ONLY for senior citizens and that Medicaid was for poor people or others who could not afford health care.
