Unfortunately, the Colts' streak will end next week when they meet David Garrard in Jax. The Colt streak will end when they start pulling their starters after the first quarter because they have clinched home fieild advantage throughout the playoffs.

Actually, Murtha represents Johnstown, PA...not really the Burgh (over an hour and a half away from the frienly confines of Heinz Field).
During the glory Stiller years, a good portion of the city of Pittsburgh was represented by a far lefty democrat, Bill Coyne. Coyne's mojo never hurt the likes of Bradshaw, Lambert, Greene and Swann. Different time, different team. I would seriously doubt if you could find more than a couple of current Stillers who could find Johnstown on a map of PA. I also doubt that many follow politics (when they don't reside here year round). Murtha has PO'd alot of Pennsylvanians, but I would guess that doesn't include those who cash a Steeler paycheck...cute premise though.

Let's get back to reality. The People of Western Pennsylvania are Steelers fans. Murtha would like the country to think he embodies the hard hat kind of ethos of the Steelers. Charlie Daniels In America Well the eagle's been flying slow and the flag's been flying low And a lot of people are saying that America's fixing to fall But speaking just for me and some people from Tennessee We got a thing or two to tell you all This lady may have stumbled but she ain't never fell And if the Russians don't believe that they can all go straight to hell We're gonna put her feet back on the path of righteousness And then God bless America again And you never did think that it ever would happen again In America, did you? You never did think that we'd ever get together again Well we damn sure fooled you We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again in America You never did think that it ever would happen again From the sound up in Long Island out to San Francisco Bay And ev'ry thing that's in between them is our home And we may have done a little bit of fighting amongst ourselves But you outside people best leave us alone Cause we'll all stick together and you can take that to the bank That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels and the yanks You just go and lay your head on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan And I think you're gonna finally understand And you never did think that it ever would happen again In America, did you? You never did think that we'd ever get together again Well we damn sure fooled you We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again in America You never did think that it ever would happen again ****** The idea that the Pittsburgh Steeler Nation in the person of John Murtha would sell out their country hasn't helped the team the past 3 weeks-- that's for sure.

It was sweet to see "Mean Jean Schmidt's" Cincinatti Bengals beat John "Immediate Redeployment" Murtha's Steelers.

With all sincerity, I doubt that the average Joe, be it sitting in a bar or on a friend's couch, watching the NFL games on Sunday really and trully thinks 'by golly the Pittsburgh Steelers, by the association of their quasi-geographic proximity to United States House of Representative, Congressman John Murtha (Democrat of Johnstown, PA) have infact stumbled upon the field of play due to statements said Representative has made regarding our military deployment in Iraq.' Ahhh...no. Actually, I think the average football fan is thinking 'damn, the Stillers aren't covering the spread.'
Football is a game. Even in Stiller country.

"It is clear that the Steelers are broken, worn out, and living hand to mouth. The NFL should pull out of Pittsburgh ASAP!"
LOL...you need to send this to Murtha's office, the Pittsburgh press, and ESPN.
