I wonder if the poor little guy is a product of a puppy mill?

Now why is a MSM paper telling us how happy the pup is when if a similar issue were to occur to a baby, it would be prone to recommending finding the problem in the womb and er, terminating the pregnancy?

You know, I hate cynicism that exaggerates the depravity of man almost as much as I hate the actual level of depravity in our culture. What you bitterly proclaim here is absolutely not true, as many children born with birth defects are born and reported in the media, and sweetly and distantly pitied by people who are damn lucky to not have to deal with such challenges.

What a cutie. I'm glad to hear that the pups have all been adopted. Having a special needs animal can be a challenge, but it is so worth it!

It's always the special needs critters that bring such joy with their courage and indomitable spirit! May God bless them and their new homes.

AW..................... she's taking better care of her pups than MANY human females.

So sweet.

Love those puppies, legless or not! They're precious!

You are absolutely right. It's the pity reflex, I get it every time I'm in an animal shelter. You want to help the disadvantaged animals more than the normal, healthy ones.

Last time I was in an animal shelter I adopted a morbidly obese and declawed cat. And it was the best move I ever made!

Mother Earth and Nature are trying to re-invent the seal.

Haha...Barks too!

Soooo cute. Induces overdrive of paternal instincts.

Could be, could also be a situation where siblings or a mom and pup were not fixed and were allowed to breed. No info on who dropped them off.

I wonder if the poor little guy is a product of a puppy mill?

Possibly...or just another ignorant breeder of animals.

I've been involved in countless rescues in which the idiot who caused the mess thought they were "on the road to easy money" by breeding animals recklessly. I've rescued animals with everything from ridiculously rare cancers to chronic pulmonary disorders and a host of other complications due to such ignorant behavior by people who aren't fit to care for a house plant.

It makes me sick that these people think of dogs as merely a commodity

Ok going to hug and kiss my Maddie now and take our daily "off leach in the wild woods" walk

I heard that Chuck Norris' tears can regrow puppy legs. Too bad he has never cried.

Q. Where do you find a dog with no legs?

A. Exactly where you left it.

I don't believe I am cynical about man. I am cynical about the left. I would think that there is a difference.

I also disagree as I do not think that I am exaggerating as I recall Eric Alterman gleefully saying that Terri Schiavo was an idiot.

We disagree on my perceptions.

You won't have to worry about it digging your lawn or scratching up the door.

Or this may have nothing to do with how the animals were bred. Some think its good for man and beast to ingest drugs and chemicals. Birth defects can be chemically induced.
