I'm thinking you're on the West Coast, so if you're killing time on FR until it's Walmart Time, I have just returned from my Walmart w/o a laptop.
My store only had twenty, and they said that was how many all the small market stores got. They gave out numbers, but when they wheeled out the laptops, it got chaotic, and a number didn't help to get one.
A first for my store, some people even got knocked out down by large men making for the front..
I was there at 3:30 AM, yet I was too late. They had 40 units but I was 45th in line.
I would think this is illegal in some way. The store knows that the laptops will not be available for the entire advertised sale period, yet they're advertised as such. Oh well...
If you didn't get there before 5 AM, you didn't get one. My understanding is that in some locations people lined up at 11 PM the night before, and all the laptops were gone by 5:05 AM.
Why would that be illegal? They make it well known that there are limited quantities.
Dell is offering at 399 laptop too
