I understand your viewpoint, it is the same as a great many others about the adult and minor situation regardless of gender. I was just stating in my normal tactful way, my thoughts on why there is a difference of opinion, and I generally throw in some attempts at humor to lighten the mood...

Nah, it's being buried because the student is legally an adult in Texas. That takes the wind out of most of it.

Another question I got about that movie... Why the hell was it necessary to pull a dime bag of weed(cat nip) out of "puss-n-boots"? I mean c'mon! Putting adult innuendo in movies is fine, and appreciated. But make it real innuendo, not this crap they're doing today.

Thats what they want you to think. My kids hate me! There are very few (and fewer all the time) shows that my family watches all the way through. As soon as it shows up, the TV gets switched to FOX news, or just turned off.

That has to be terribly annoying to everyone but you.

When you're a 14, 15, 16 year old high school boy, you got two things on your mind...cars and girls...well, a normal boy anyway.

I was abnormal. I didn't like cars. :)

I don't think these cases are really any more common now than they were some years ago, at least since the late 60s. They are just a lot less likely to be winked at, covered up, or buried.

There was a case like this here in West Texas in the late 70s. A 24 year old first grade teacher was caught in the act with [more than one] boys from the same system's high school. Her parents were fairly prominent people and she lived with them, in fact. A brief investigation determined that she had made a practice of this for almost 2 years.

The superintendent gave her a choice of resigning with a favorable reference, or having the whole case revealed to her parents. She went to another school district, and is still teaching today

How do I know all this? I was the security guard at the motel where this happened and had to sort out the uproar when the parents of one of boys barged in. They caught the teacher in flagrante delecto with a boy who was not, in fact, their son, though the son was in the room. I really thought there was going to be serious violence. The boy's mom was furious, like a she-bear protecting her cubs. The teacher, a very short but remarkably well-shaped brunette, was defiant and angry at the interruption, despite being stark naked and an obvious sex criminal. I would just as soon try to separate rival Somali gangs, something else I tried to do some years later. The police were called but they treated it as a big joke and the legal system apparently deferred to the teacher's superintendent. I eventually got to know the irate parents pretty well through an unrelated business interest and stayed in contact with them for years.
