My personal preference is that boycotts are silly. But at least with stores like Target, the boycott is based on ACCURATE information.
The WalMart boycott or whatever this is becoming is based on virtually nothing. And whatever reason they happen to be using is QUICKLY AND EASILY debunked by WALKING into the store.

Let the silliness begin!!

Are you saying that Bill Donohue is a liar?
Anyhow, this is all moot, as Wal-Mart has apologized and changed their web site.

I don't think liar is the correct word here. They do have "Happy Holidays" on their banners, but in no way have they removed Christmas from the store. Hardly. I would say he is spreading a myth more than outright lying.

The story is based on an actual occurrence and I personally checked the website and what the story said was true. The person has been fired the website has been changed and the people have been listened to.
I am right now typing with fingers covered in paint bought at WalMart.

Were the "Christmas" signs Wal-Mart signs, or vendor's/manufacturer's signs?
Did Wal-Mart employees wish you "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hollidays"?

Every year I send a "Happy Holidays" card to a Jewish/Catholic couple I know. This year, as usual, I bought it at a Hallmark store as my local Wal-Mart never carries them.

Neither. I didn't talk to any. As for the signs, they were WalMart signs. Give me a break.
