Yippee!
They still haven't figured out why they lost. they still don't have a new strategy.
parody lyrics by me (w/ inspiration by Capitol Steps):
Have yourself a Kerry little Christmas
Cozy all the way
While the seat of power is so far away
You'll be just one more lib in the Senate
Thanks to W
You won't live on Pennsylvania Avenue
Ketchup heiress has lots of dough
Lots and lots of dough, to spend
It won't buy you the White House though
For the voters know, my friend
Mondale, Gore, and also Mike Dukakis
Know just how you feel
When you're seen, you just don't have any appeal
So have yourself a Kerry little Christmas now
Maybe we could share our own memories of liberals falling to pieces last year. I remember liberals emailing my home (there are several in my circle) ranting over the "fact" that "women would now have no choice."
The liberal in question happens to exploit women selfishly and boldly in his own life--hanging out with strippers and setting them up as personal concubines--all the libs were childless, know I'm pro-life and have children, so I guess the message was also that I should have aborted my own kids.
How sweet it was, that night, to drive the liberals before us and hear the lamentations of their metrosexuals.
Yes indeed, 62 million of us dolts don't know what's good for us. We was too dumb to do the right thing. LOL!
I wish I could relive election night from around 12:40 AM on when Fox called Ohio for Bush and it was essentially over. How sweet, especially after those erroneous (fixed?!) exit polls from earlier in the day.
I remember watching the election coverage here, just outside Boston. Kerry's "victory celebration" was taking place in Copley Sq. and at one point (according to WLVI-TV 56),
about 10:30 or 11, they had to give a MAJOR pep talk to the troops who were getting more and more despondent as the results came in.
"May I be the first to call you 'Mr. President'?"--Bob Shrum
Remember the British newspaper whose headline was "how can 59 million people (at that time, that was the supposed
# of Bush voters) be so dumb?"
Bush won
dealwithit
It was a fabulous day and night, and the images of crying libs were icing on the cake.
"Another man shouted to the Republicans "This is why the rest of the world calls us ignorant Americans. You obviously don't read the newspapers or you would not believe as you do."
Duh, whats a newspaper? (Scratches head)
Someone should re-post the picture of Judy Woodruff with a big puss on her face after CNN projected FL for Bush around 11:30 pm ET, as I recall. 380,000 votes this time sure beat out the 537 from 2000. :)
By the time pony-haired Edwards gave his count-every-vote talk early in the morning it was obvious they were not going to win. Still I was afraid they would make a play to steal Ohio. Or even if it was obvious they would lose Ohio I thought they would drag out the result for weeks. For once in his life, Kerry showed class by conceding. But he's been nothing but a whiney loser ever since.
I'm trying to find some pix online of Dems crying in their beer (literally or figuratively).
I still remember eating at a restaurant a few days before
the election and a couple Kerry bumkissers sitting at the bar were talking about great it was gonna be when he beat Bush.
On Election night, I smiled just thinking of them. "Happy Days are here again/
They're crying in their beer again..."
GreySkies Davis: "Part of [winning the White House] is certainly not writing off the South"
Oh, I'm sure they'll vote for Hillary next time (/sarcasm)
"I've got it! LET'S ELECT SOMEONE WHO'S EVEN MORE LIBERAL!"
"I've got it! LET'S ELECT SOMEONE WHO'S EVEN MORE LIBERAL!"
Yep, they think they lost because they did NOT get their message out. Amazing.
