There may be murdered bodies lining that city and the cops are thinking how "festive" everything looks.

Oh my lord!
How horrible and so sad.
No one cared, no one noticed....
No wonder she hung herself.

Before everyone goes off the deep end here..........it has been determined the woman did this after dark, so remained unnoticed during the night.
It is very sad that something in her life brought her to this, but to blame people for not realizing what was in the tree is not exactly fair.

BTW - this is not a 'city' it is a rural small town and the location was not exactly on main street.

Just think how nuts she must have been to do it in public like that.
Usually people hang themselves indoors - or out in the woods.
She did it in a VERY public way.
ICKY.

When we lived in a neighborhood, I used to dress up as a scarecrow and sit on the front porch. I would scare the heck out of kids and parents a like when I would come to life. I would sit very still while they went by me to ring the door bell. At some point I would jump up.
I had once case where some kid kicked me in the leg as he walked up say "that ain't real". After that I realized it could get worse, i.e. someone hitting me hard, etc. Nevertheless, it was worth the risk.
To: Dashing Dasher
I have an idea of why she did it in public.
"No one sees how much I hurt,
no one notices,
no one cares,
see,
If I kill myself right here in the middle of everyone...
they STILL won't notice or care."
Seems like she made her point too.

There is a stretch of woods on this road and she did it at night.

That's funny.
There is a thing called mannequin modeling, where you get all dolled up in some clothes from some store, and they put you on display. You are supposed to pose like a mannequin, and stand very still. In hindsight, it sounds really stupid. I mean, why not just use an actual mannequin.
But I digress. I was doing this one day in my youth, standing on a pedestal, when a lady came up to me to touch the clothes I was wearing. She ended up "touching me inappropriately", and I could not help but laugh.
I swear that lady freaked out, went asthmatic, peed her pants and had a heart attack all at the same time.
Good times.

Well, it would have helped if you didn't wear that "Touch Me Here" sign.
Would you do this at a store withouth the store's knowledge? If so, it sounds like fun.
To: Dashing Dasher
I lived only about 10-15 miles from there for 21 years.
I have not heard from any my friends in the area, but most likely I will find out that even if I don't know her personally, she will have connections with people I do know.
No apology necessary - I guess I'm a bit testy today. I left Delaware because of my own problems with the state, and seem all I've been doing today is defending it :)
