To all and sundry, I have gained permission from the mods to make the following statement:
If any of you will be in the Philadelphia area on Sunday, Nov. 20th and if you like opera, then you might want to check out this site: www.elysiumconcertopera.org. The company is run by some friends of mine.
End of PSA.

Unfortunately not. It was too traumatic. Apparently, he tired of being bossed around by age 5 and planted his fist in my stomach (I was six). From that time on we had semi-annual battles for power until we left for college.

LOL! I haven't finished my dissertation yet. I still have to defend my proposal, which won't happen until next semester. I've been working on things for the class I teach lately.

Is that like Production and Operations Management? I think they've changed the name of it several times. When I took the class it was CML and later it became supply chain management. I'm not sure, but I think it's part of POM now.

The yellow face? Is that the sun? (I'm on the east coast and am accustomed to seeing the sun on a regular basis.)

I'm planning a trip to the Kennedy Space Center while we're on vacation. We'll need to hole up overnight at a hotel in the vicinity of Cape Canaveral. I've used the usual sites to price out hotel rooms but would appreciate recommendations from people who've actually stayed there.
Have any of you stayed in that area recently? I have to book two rooms for 3 adults and 4 children and don't want to lose my shirt in the process.

We're too accustomed to our beautiful grey overcast this time of year. The Yellow Face is scary!
Unless, of course, we're playing hooky from work to go skiing... then the Yellow Face is tolerable.
