Everett with a nice piece of baserunning...surprised the 1B didn't throw to third...might have had a rundown

Shattered bat--and no, Roger didn't pick up part of it and throw it at the batter/runner. "I thought it was the ball!"

Cardinal fan here. Its a bit disappointing to watch but..

I`ve decided to root for the Sox, because if the Sox win it will tick off Cubs fans. : )
In your face you lowly Cubbies.

I think the Sox have the advantage in this series anyway.

Crede's bat gets smashed on an inside Clemens pitch, 2 outs.

yes we do remember Clemens vs. Piazza.

And I almost was gonna say "This is Chicago, so check to
see if there's any cork in there (Sosa)"! :)

White Sox really capitalizing on Roger's shakiness

Wow the Sox are really knocking around Clemens...didn't expect that. 3-1 in the 2nd. Maybe the cooler weather is stiffening his back a little?

STUPID music, except for the wonderful Josh Groban!

I'm catching the game on TV and just caught this thread and have to say that I agree. Groban sung our National Anthem better than I've heard it sung in a long, long time.

yes we do remember Clemens vs. Piazza.

I always wondered if Piazza pulled a Bull Durham in the '04 All-Star game telling the AL batters what was coming as Clemens got bombed that game.

Clemens has thrown over 50 pitches so far...he won't make it thru the 4th at this pace.
