Thought you'd get a kick out of this. I'm chaperoning a Middle School dance tonight and I'm bringing my knitting. The s love it, they always stop to chat about it.
And if anyone gets out of line, I'm armed.
Yep! I like it when I'm knitting something particularly fine..those needles are dangerous in the wrong hands!
Which is why I don't try to take them on airplanes in carry on luggage...sigh.
contact your local V.A. Hospital....I make 'troop pillows' and when I get a bunch done, I take them to my local V.A. Hospital and they hand them out....
I always print up a card with each one, and sign it..."A Grateful Angel" it goes really well from what the nurses tell me when I deliver a bunch of them...
I have a how-to-knit book, ditto a DVD and had planned to start to learn the day the first snow fell. I have been stockpiling yarn and am really happy to see this group meeting on Fridays. You're my inspiration to try it before the snow flies.... Is it possible to learn from the how-to books when I know nada about knitting?
Hi Granny!
I saw this and my eyes lit up and my heart began to beat extra fast - great to see you here too!
It probably counts at how good you are at teaching yourself how to do stuff...I basically taught myself, with a couple of people giving me pointers along the way.
