"How is the baby doing?" He's doing real well. The mom had pre-eclampsia. He was about 6 weeks early. Also a meth baby...well, in the sense that mom was doing meth while she was pregnant before going into treatment.

I like Faith Hill, don't recognize Kathy Matthea lately. I like Shania Twain, some Dixie Chicks (before they dis'd the Pres).
The thing is, these are great songs, and great artists, but on TV, radio and even on their CD's there is too much filler that is too depressing.

A loon! My youngest son used to like head-banging music. I knew he would grow out of it, if I didn't challenge him.(Can only bang your head so many times until it hurts, LOL!) Then he went into Pink Floyd and Zappa, then Rolling Stones, Gorillaz and now I ask to borrow his CD's. He has really good taste in music. It was interesting to watch his evolution. He even sold back some of us earlier hair metal music.
Ever hear of Lucinda Williams (Car Wheels on a Gravel Road)? That's my favorite right now. Kind of country. Or Diana Krall, or Joss Stone?

That's cool music. I guess I like jazz, country blues and always pop music! (I must be old fashioned to always love pop music. My son shudders when I say I like pop. lol!). Don't know why blues is not as depressing as country? Hmmm...
