Getting on's always the tricky part, and I say that as someone who's built a lot like you ;~D
I add to my troubles the fact that Bay seems taller every year and I keep my cinch pretty loose or he chafes. he has a heck of a wither, and it's hard to pull the saddle over on him, but I do still have to find a stump to stand on out on trail. Luckily, I ride in timber country that's been logged before ;~D

My Mom says she sees ghosts
To: Duchess47
Well if I could just figure out how to teach Okie and SL to get on their knees:')
To: CindyDawg
I believe in them having seen my father once after he died, but I've never seen others. Some people seem to see them easier than others I guess.

I always wanted to see my mom.... but I think she went immediately on a trip somewhere and hasn't been back :~D
Well, on that note, I'm off... my brother is here to visit and we're gonna go out for some pizza.

Yeah she says she has seen and talked with loved ones that have passed on. My MIL too.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's kind of the way I look at it, too.
To: Duchess47
Not to change the subject but I was thinking about trail rides ealier. Our State organization has a haunted ride after dark around halloween every year. I never could figure out why you would want to delibertately spook a horse:')
To: CindyDawg
So - I forgot - I got to the end of the thread and there were no pictures.

You really don't want to go there. The camera was with me but so was my husband. I'm not talking to him right now:')

Something really strange has happened to me 3 times though. I had a beagle that was very attached to me. He got heartworms. The treatment was rough back then and many nights I held him on my shoulder so he could sleep and breath. I was at walmarts and got this saddest feeling and felt like I couldn't breathe. It was just a few seconds and then gone. When I got home he had died. Maybe just coincidence but it freaked me.When the space ship with the school teacher on board once again I got the most saddest feeling for just a few seconds. Later I learned it was right at the time it happened

I can't think of ANY reason to spook a horse on a trail after dark.

People who are sensatives get a loss of life symptom before something catastrophic, sometimes personal, sometimes international. Probably if you start paying attention, you will find you get them before or at the time of things like 9/11 or the tsunami, or the Pakistan earthquake.

Oh how cute. I've been wanting a toy chihuahua or a little bull dog. I just don't want to fork over the cash. I keep hoping my sister will get in the wanting puppy mood and give me one of hers:')
To: CindyDawg
These were both rescues. The one on the left is about 10yrs old and has been abused. She has a bad leg and her jaw was broken at one time and healed without being set. The one on the right is almost 2yrs old, cute as a button and totally incorrigable.

No, bad things happen and surprise me and I can get all worked up about a feeling that was nothing, I wouldn't even want to know if I couldn't prevent something.
