I don't recall seeing Ms. Danner "as herself," but I've never seen her in a TV or movie role where I didn't think she was terrible.

Even though Jack Nickolson(spelling?) did a great job in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' McMurphy was a 6' 5" red-head. It took a good portion of the movie to accept Jack.

I liked his performance in "RAISING ARIZONA"..

Oh, wait. He played a perpetually lost repeat offender in that role. That would explain a lot...

Of course, any movie that has a soundtrack with Beethoven's Ninth being played on a banjo would be a hit anywheres...
