Thr rookie has attitude, doesn't he? I got his autograph last month at Fenway
He seems very fan-friendly, but it's nice to see that he's got confidence. Kind of reminds me of Clemens.

Its already started - New Yorkers are here in downtown Boston a plenty and wearing their 'gang' colors.
Please Sox - smite our enemy and drive them back to the deepest depths of Hell.

ok, Yankee pants fan - here is THE thread...

Right now, seems like the strongest probabiity is for a three way tie at the end...assume the Res Sox and Tribe win 2 of 3...

"Red Sox win, tied in the WC, 1 GB in the division, and it's now time for the Yanks to get their beating in Fenway this weekend." I'll keep my fingers crossed and a bottle on antacid nearby.

Everything turned around when Pap came in. That kid is something. Agreed: he was working the splitter, too. He's got a presence on the mound like he's a 10-year veteran 20-game winner.
HOWEVER, unless hitters 5, 6, 7, and 8 step up tonight and this weekend, those will be four big easy outs for the Yankees pitching staff. I was heartbroken last night when my boy Mueller whiffed in the eighth with one down and first and third.

HOWEVER, unless hitters 5, 6, 7, and 8 step up tonight and this weekend, those will be four big easy outs for the Yankees pitching staff. I was heartbroken last night when my boy Mueller whiffed in the eighth with one down and first and third. Mueller always steps up against the Yanks when it matters.
FWIW, here is the list of Red Sox who have a .900+ OPS against the Yanks this year.
J Varitek, 1.068
T Nixon, 1.012
T Graffanino, 1.000
E Renteria, .993
K Millar, .936
D Ortiz, .914
J Olerud, .908
So, those guys after Ortiz bats should have a good weekend. We have to plan to win against Wang and Moose and hope for good luck against RJ.
I think playing these games in Fenway is pivotal. I feel real good about this series.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and a bottle on antacid nearby. Of, course. You're a Red Sox fan. You know the drill. We don't believe in doing things the easy way.

"We don't believe in doing things the easy way."Oh how right you are. The only way they can torture us more than usual would be to force a playoff game, because of this I am confident we'll be playing at least one.

Well folks, this is the last regular home series for Bush Stadium.
Tink and I will be attending, so I will probably post some pics maybe Sunday.
Should be fun. Today McGuire takes down #3 (Cards have had someone take down the number each game), tomorrow is Red (#2) and Sunday is Ozzie (#1).
Saturday is 'Bush All Stars Team' day, and Sunday is 'Bush Old Timers Day'.
Parades etc etc.
PS Ken, sorry bout the PondScumMets, but they lasted till the last week of the season. Their Magic Number is now 2006.

Don't worry, when the Yankees win the Division you can cry on my shoulder... that's what friends are for.

The weekend was great, sweep the BigDeadMachine, reach 100 wins, final regular season games at Bush, Prince Albert gets #40 with flare.
Today the Padres. Tink and I will be there.
