Haven't the Cubs suffered enough? You really have no compassion...
:-)
Foulke gets a free truck (thanks Ricky Smith Pontiac GMC)
for doing these call ins. (I think he's on at noon today.) From what I've heard he's surly
and depressed. Yup, he made the throw on the last play of the WS last year, but what's he done for us lately? Buh bye.
It don't come easy.
For Yankee fans, in case they get the div. and the Sox don't make the playoffs: It might be a choke on the Sox part
(and I still hope it isn't), but nothing can match the
choke of last year's ALCS. Only Hillary's Team could have
pulled that one off.
(Wondering if Curse of Hillary means that if the Yanks
win it all this year _then HRC will be elected Pres in '08.
Shudder.)
I have no faith at all in the idea that the Red Sox are going to the playoffs this year. None. They've been playing like sh*t lately, and historically, they mail it in versus the Jays and the Orioles. Conversely, the Yanks are on a roll and they look unstoppable.
More like the Curse of the Curley Haired Boyfriend killed the Sox this year.
CHB = Dan Shaughnessey, the world's worst sports columnist, who wrote a "homer" times infinity article about the division race being over . . . in JULY . . .

Sox broke the Yankee's back last year..this year, we get to break their hearts....and at home...relax..we have them where we want them..
There are plenty of people ready to cheer him up.
Yeah, but this gets in the way, severely:

I am not the author of the Flubs fans suffering. They have had years to jump ship and support the ChiSox. Choices made.
Good Lord, where did you score those photos? Are them tomatahs the source of Keith's "personal problems" we've been hearing about?
I'll be there Friday night. I'm not hoping for much . . . the Sox don't deserve it at all this year. They had an entire summer to put some serious distance between themselves and NY, and sh*t the bed.
Yeah, but if I were him, I'd be checkin' ID....
Closely.
Being from the NYC metro area, I interact with Yankee fans every day, and one of the more amazing, and least commented upon phenomenom..is how the 2004 implosion like never happened. It's been erased from the collective Yankee fandom consciousness..It's never talked about, referred to..It was the greates choke-job of all time..and pfft!..it's not there anymore...they also forget the melt-down against the Diamond backs, and Rivera's collapse...we have to break their hearts ONE MORE TIME..
I saw he apologized today for that column. So much for the Sox looking like Secretariat in September!
And doesn't he make seven million a year? Why, if he hates the media so much, does he do a weekly radio show to get a free truck? What a cheapskate!
Well, he has to pay child support and alimony, now.
NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Boston Red Sox all emerged winners Friday as Major League Baseball conducted coin tosses to determine sites for potential two-team tiebreakers.Trailing the Atlanta Braves by four games in the National League East Division, the Phillies would host a one-game playoff should the teams be tied at the end of the regular season.
The Padres hold a five-game lead over the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. They would host the Giants should they tie.
After falling out of the American League East lead and behind the Cleveland Indians in the wild card race, the Red Sox won a coin toss that would give them a home game against the Indians if the teams tie for the wild card.
Any one-game tiebreaker would be scheduled for Monday, October 3.
