you said: You didn't go nearly far enough ...
True enough, but remember, it was 03:30 or so here and I was tired, and had had more than a couple of beers before I read his STUPID screed .... :)
I'll try to do a better job of it next time, and from a quick review of his posting history, there WILL be a next time.
dcwusmc: my reply refered to is #18. I was responding to the reply at #8. You can chime in if you want to ... :)
nah, you seem to have it covered. Unless his post was supposed to be ironic sarcasm or sarcastic irony or something...in which case all of you have it covered.
I should have been more specific - I heard a muslim-American person bragging about being an american - but I haven't seen any of our American muslims handing out aid.
The country of my ancestors manufactures trolls - i have one on my computer, cute little thing it is! Besides, "abundant dulcibus vitiis", we are supposed to forgive all the sinners and love our neighbors, even if they are building bombs and blowing them up in the back yard.......
Do you personally know any muslims? I do. Get them to tell you what they really think of us, I did - shocked the heck out of me. I was raised as an enlightened individual with parents who had friends of many nationalities and have friends from other countries, but I have been awakened to some grim realities - maybe you should open your eyes and ears, make some friends in other countries and find out was is the real story - ignorance will kill you.
too many words are just so much wasted wind..........
"pledged"? Show me the money!
"too many words are just so much wasted wind.........."
nice comeback, but Keli, take a chill=pill!
I am living in another country so I am more than qualified to answer this one. The simple fact is most people in 'other countries' do not care about the US or politics. They care more about their day to day lives and what happens in the US, or other foreign countries, is simply not a part of that.
Yes, my friends will be more than happy to debate politics over a beer, but at the end of the day, it is the last thing on their minds.
All those words in response to an observation and a simple question, you are indeed verbose. ;)
My friends are not as indifferent as you are to human suffering, some remember the mistake Lord Chambelain made using appeasement regarding Hitler, others see what is going on in their own countries. As I write, Christians are being arrested, murdered and decapitated in 'other countries'. Perhaps, "We don't care" will be your epitaph.
According to prophecy, New Orleans will be flooded again - are we throwing away good money after bad? Will they do the job right and restore the wetlands? Re:Prophecy - earthquakes, many are occurring and more are expected; the megavolcano in Yellowstone Park is overdue to blow, the geography is changing because the caldera is rising due to a build up of magma; and a long overdue pole shift will change the geography of the entire earth. Those things happen on a living, dynamic planet, carnal or otherwise.
Umm... what are you talking about? The topic, IIRC, was about foreign aid to the hurricane victims and also about world opinion towards the USA.
Since you don't know me, or anything about me, making comments about how I feel towards the suffering of others simply makes you into a fool. I don't feel the need to go into my job or my daily life in a public forum, but I can assure you I know a lot more about this topic than you do.
...aren't you the one who said that you and the people in your country don't care? your words, not mine.......
