THE pennant..
I understand, and was upset by our performance in the WS, but it was better than 26 other teams.
I always look forward. To dwell on what happened last year isn't in me.

It wasn't you, it was those damn Bosox fans :)

If they don't win them for your team perhaps it is your team (GM, players) who should get the blame, not hang it on the manager
While I agree with most of that, managers can make a difference. I would like to point out the difference between LaRussa/Carpenter and Dusty Baker/Kerry Wood situation.
LaRussa made a decision not to rush Carp after his problems towards the end of last year. The alternate is Dusty Baker continually rushing Kerry Wood back into the line up after every injury. If Dusty had let him heal properly he wouldn't be a 'part time' player now probably.

There sure are some greedy bastards around. The Red Sox gave him a watch and they took him to the WS and he's bitching? This guy called himself a cop? What a pansy. Like a little school girl he is.

I owe you an after-action report of yesterday's White Sox vs Red Sox game. Neither Zelig nor I have had time to compose anything, but I'll comment ASAP.

Schill has sort of been unlucky on balls put into play. His K9 in his 3 starts is a respectable 6.84 (Top 15 in AL).

Darn, usually we get Braves games here on TBS... not so tonight. I would have liked to see Pedro vs Smoltz. 3-1 Atlanta in the 7th... :-(
Red Sox tied 2-2 with the Angels in the 8th...

Sox tied 2-2 going to the 9th, Yankees tied 3-3 in the 7th. Such a small difference makes a win or a loss. Fascinating.
We pretty much gotta win this game for Wake though. C'mon y'all!
