Heard this morning on the Early Show by a male reporter in NO, when asked if he thought things were getting better:
Things are not getting better, but the rate in which things are getting worse has slowed down!
I think that speaks for itself.
To: Northern Yankee
actally it does mean that things are getting worse........... doesn't it?

Well... If the rate in which things that were worse has slowed down, doesn't it mean they are getting better?
I guess its all the way you look at it. ; )

Moore acknowledged that "there will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you." He suggested that Bush not respond to his critics. So in Michael's logic, he can criticize the president and use it against him, but President Bush shouldn't respond to it.
Moore just contradicted himself, didn't he?

Exactly. It makes me angry to see the mayor crying for help and bashing the federal government. Where was his plan?? The moron governor who hasn't got a clue where to start, how can she blame the feds for lack of response when state homeland security troops weren't even sent in until a couple of days ago? What's happening here is that these Louisiana officials want to point fingers, and Ray Nagin is looking to blame anyone but himself for his own monumental failure. Even the representatives and the senators of Louisiana are speaking out against this massive ball-dropping. This will go down in history as one of the worst, if not the worst, fumbles of state and local government in our nation's history.

You could use his bloat to plug the dikes though. That would be the best use of that useless piece of excrement. Of course his putrid body would foul the already grossly polluted water much worse.

I wonder if MikeyMoore realizes that most of the Gulf Coast was devastated, too. I wonder if he is smart enough to know there is a Gulf Coast?

Hey needs to direct his questions to the democrat governor and mayor.
The governor would not JW Marriott's rescue buses to the marriott hotels to rescue the stranded tourists. It took several attempts. (according to another email posted on this site).

If it were 10 degrees below zero and it went to 14 degrees below zero in an hour..... then it went from 14 to 16 degrees below zero in the next hour......... I'd say it was getting worse....... unless you like to freeze your *ss off!

On the other hand, if water were coming in at an alarming rate, but then slowed where it was becoming managable, then situation is better, no?
Again... your perspective. : )
We could have fun with this all day!
Now having Jesse Jackson or Michael Moore in any area, proclaiming anything, would be worse!
