Well yes, but then I'm clearly feeling a lot younger then some! (and I've been up since 7:00 am and going strong. hummmmmmmm, perhaps my strange way of life has some compensations I've overlooked?)

Oh, I ACHE! I just don't give it time or presence enough to slow me down. Just like my damaged knees and my old back injury, their presence is noted, but not in charge. I try to live each day as full as I can, there's no bets on tomorrows!

Yes, well, I try hard to ignore the backpain, too.

Knees are falling apart.

Sometimes I have to give it permission to act up. :(

Oh I ache for heaven's sake
I rattle and shake
my knees moan and groan
even grind when I move
thank goodness for fancy
walking sticks, I use them all.



Must be fall creeping in
warning us of things to come
blowing winds and drifting snows
bone chilling cold, and the mole
months going on forever.


January's clear bitter days
skies of crystal blue
and icy sidewalks
and Jack Frost painting
on the window panes
feathery light lace
while the warmth of
the furnaces pipes pop
and snap with wondrous heat.

And in November the smells
of pumpkin pies and cinnamon
and nutmeg in the air
and memories of the kids
gathering round to hear
the deer hunting stories
of uncles and dear old dad
yes, that's the life I had.

Help me Doctor, I keep seeing this spikeheaded blue bird! I know, I shouldn't have eaten that birdseed but it was handy...I was hungry...I didn't think it would come to this. (whimper)

LOL. You should see the scrub jays! We must have 10 or more of them and at least two of the Steller's Jay. We need an air traffic controller at the peanut feeder.
