Silver Threads and Golden Needles by every female C&W singer ever
PMS Blues by Dolly Parton
Redemption by Johnny Cash
Cold, Cold Heart by Norah Jones

Actually, those aren't all-time favorites as much as current favorites.

Man, now that song has a history. Did a Google on it and came up with Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton and Dusty Springfield, just for starters.

I think somebody ought to do it again, like LeAnn Rimes.

Years ago my daughter brought home LeAnn Rimes's first CD, and I really liked it.

Then she went to the White House to perform for the schlickmeister.

Now I can't hear her name without thinking about who may have done what to whom, and whether both Butch and Bubba were in the room at the time.

I hate to think that. She's only 23 years old now.

I didn't know she was so young when she accepted the invitation from Beelzebubba and the Hildebeeste.

I'm glad to hear it, though, because it means that I might be able to give her a pass on it.

I wonder if she has her head screwed on straight now.

(As that young a young girl, she was probably in more danger from Janet Reno than from B. Jeff Airplane Klintstone and his husband Hiliarius "I didn't kill Vince Foster" Rodham Rodham.)

Have Gun, Will Travel with Richard Boone was the greatest TV western ever. The song by Johnny Western:
Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.

His fast gun for hire head's the calling wind.
A soldier of fortune is the man called Paladin.

Paladin, Paladin
Where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin,
Far, far from home.

I still can't listen to He Stopped Loving Her Today without tears coming to my eyes. It is the greatest C/W song ever! I used to bet people they couldn't listen to it without tearing up and won money off of them.

Darth Brooks has a song about seeing his old flame years later and thanking God for unanswered prayers. I loved hat one too.

You sure that was a mistake?

A lot of people give Garth a ration of horse manure but he was largely responsible for putting the west back in Country and Western.
