My father had a friend who was playing blackjack at Vegas. He was up $150,000, and had been playing 36 hours straight. His daughter finally got him to go lay down in his room for awhile. He never woke up.

That was precisely my thought. My son is addicted to Everquest. It cost him $4200 in annual scholarships and caused him to flunk out of college after 3 semesters.
