I don't have TiVo? Do either of you have the capability to record this to DVD?
I'd be much obliged.

I think that "Whipping Post" is one of the greatest southern rock songs of all time, by the way!!!

This will be good.
I'm catching the Allman Brothers Band/Lynyrd Skynyrd tour this year. Can't wait.

Sho 'nuff. Their older stuff with Donnie is pretty good.

I saw the special a few months ago.
Very good and interesting.
After watching it, I downloaded my Southern Rock favorites, including Allmans, Skynard, Marshall Tucker, Blackfoot.

WooHoo!! All my favorites! The 70's, what a great time to be in high school.

Is 38 Special a southern rock band? Yep. One of the Van Zant boys was front man. Two of the Van Zant's are getting a lot of play time on country stations now.

I won numerous "air-guitar" championships playing "Freebird"
(alone in front of a mirror).Hope the tribute covers "Black Oak Arkansas" . . . great weightlifting music during the college years.

Where's Molly Hatchet? Just went to the Molly Hatchet web site. They have a PETA link on it. Oh the shame of it all......

"Where's Molly Hatchet?"
Molly Hatchet is more 2nd wave Southern Rock than being in the charter club. Their first hit was a remake of the Allman's "dreams".

I just wondered if purists would consider 38 Special a southern rock band because of their mainstream hits.
