Call 206-575-1690, and tell the gentleman who answers to support I-912. If a woman answers, ask for Chris. Then do the same with your county GOP. Otherwise, the wobbly GOP will not endorse I-912, September 23-24, in Yakima at the Fall meeting of the X-Board & state committee of the WSRP.
The WSRP is in debt from the election challenge. The "show horse" the WSRP had planned to use to help retire the debt and run a popular senatorial campaign, turned up lame.
Now, they are stuck with a well healed no-name blue-blood, who CV thinks can raise enough cash to run a decent race and more importantly, bring in enough big dollar sugar daddies to make the WSRP healthy again. This is why Tukwilla is trying to play hardball with would be challengers to the "anointed one."
This is also why, unless we light up their computers and phones, the WSRP will not endorse I-912. CV follows the old mantra, "cash talks, fools walk", we need to show CV & company who are the fools really are.

Changing topics a little bit.
How active was ACORN in Washington State in the last election?
The reason is that this democratic party aligned oragnization may have been involved in racketeering to tilt the past election nationally and that could have easily cost Rossi the election.
It is an interesting report found at....

There was a acorn dressed as a woman at Flipper's rally at the Tacoma Dome. She was as nutty as her outfit, reeling from my son's and my signs, and going on about how all of Fox News stories are lies. I asked her if she'd ever heard of AP. I told her to look at the source of the next story she reads, and more often than not, it'll have come from the Associated Press, i.e., Fox gets the bulk of its stories the same place everyone else does. Wrecked her whole day.

Well, I'm trying, Libertina. Looks like people are going back to the message board, though, for all they seemed to want this.
Don't know if a daily reminder ping is called for, or if we should just let this die.

NO NO NO!!! People just aren't used to it yet. It's a habit to hit the board when you first come in, no? If I weren't so ding dang busy with the yard and the animals (note- new kitten alert).
THIS IS GREAT! Just give it some time.

Lori et al,
Would a daily "reminder" ping help? Or be too much? Most long-running threads of interest to a group of people seem to need the occasional ping.

I took my children--ages 13 and 11 at the time--to a district convention where all but one candidate for the House seat that Dave Reichert won last fall. The kids were totally turned off by Tebelius; I was not impressed. Her speech consisted of something like: You've all known me for years, I've put in my time for the state party, now elect me.
I thought Reichert had the nomination sewn up going in to that meeting, but I was surprised by the depth the 'Ican's had in the district. My and the kids' favorite was Luke Esser. He gave a really good focused speech: You need to choose a proven conservative who has proven himself electable. Tebelius's ads during the campaign weren't bad. I'd support her against Cant-vote-well.

Thanks for your insight. I got the same sort of vibe from her. But, that being said, considering the two senators we have now-- maybe lack of charisma is okay, as long as it's a female candidate?
To: sionnsar
I'm really not sure. I just found this today, so I'll be checking more often now.

Tebelius didn't start off well, I agree. She improved as the campaign went on; if she makes this run she'll need some guidance and training.
