I missed it if he said it but Kenny was supposed to announce his new sponsor at 2pm today. Darn. Let's see if I can track that down...
From ppc Racing, it's AutoZone starting at IRP.
Back to qualifying, John Hayden put down a 129.702 (16th of 16 drivers, 4th of 4 field-fillers). Eric McClure does even worse with a 128.582.

McClure 17th yup he pushed right up and took a bite out of the wall. That's gotta leave a mark. THey'll have a week to either fix the car or get another one for IRP; I don't think 128 1/2 mph is going to make it into the show.

LOL he's talking about it now. He has Whelen on the car today...maker of ambulance parts?
He doesn't know how long the deal with Auto Zone is for yet.
Thank you Auto Zone,
I will shop there if I need anything!!

From the PR, it sounds like the rest of the season ("starting at" IRP).
David Green puts down a 133.468 (6th of 18), Aaron Fike gets a 132.869 (9th of 19), Paul Wolfe gets a 132.372 (13th of 20), and TP finally adds in Rusty's and Smith's times.

BTW that's Fitz/Bradshaw
His second lap was faster one of the few if any today.
Fike up
Nascar: If you don't present your car to the line you have 5 minutes and Yeley's has come and gone. He's done as far as qualifying today!! Starting at the back.

There were a few that jumped up on lap #2, notably Menard.
The younger Fike with a not-so-respectable 129.844 (19th of 21, 4th of 6 field-fillers).
The skipping continues apace, as Stacy Compton grills a 133.345 (8th of 22).

Skipped so far (or at least no times noted on TP) - Ashton Lewis Jr (was to go out 2nd), Tyler Walker (6th), Carl Edwards (13th), JJ Yeley (19th), Randy LaJoie (23rd) and Jimmy Spencer (24th).
Justin Labonte coasts to a 131.687 (15th of 23).

None of them have gone yet.
Yeley being interviewed. Rear camber off, had to try and make it legal.

Quarterly in hte Mattress Co car may be going home I wouldn't be too sure about that. While 130.730 is only 19th of 24 overall, and 3rd of 7 field-fillers (which puts Regan Smith into the show), there's 4 field-fillers behind him.
The Hermanator only puts down a 132.450 (14th of 25), and Stremme adds a 133.638 (4th of 26). Qualifying is strange when Stremme does a lot better than Kenny.

There's some money.
Guess they didn't make it TOO legal :-) - 134.405 puts the (likely) future FedEx driver 3rd of 37.

BTW the problem with Yeleys #18 team is that this is an impound race so they had to fix it before qualifying.
Ok Kenny said AZ for the rest of the year. Man that red #22 car is coooool!
Spencer's car was on 5 minute clock but they are gonna make it.

Spencer may have made the clock, but 130.148 (25th of 28, 5th of 8 field-fillers, which puts Marc Mitchell into the race) may not make the cut.
Jason Leffler hustles the 32 around; 133.809 is good for 4th of 29.
