I've heard of cougars doing that sort of thing-but fortunately not here. What few cougars we have in our area keep to the woods and away from humans, dining on prey animals like rabbits and deer and the occassional domestic dog or cat that is not in a fenced yard.
Awwww-baby alligators are really cute-but if you took one home it would start regarding Loosh as a prey item as soon as it got big enough to swallow him...
I'm off to work-I have a long drive to my jobsite-I'll come to class as soon as I get back...
My fave thing thing about that post is that you ping yourself!
(Now that I think about that, it's kinda hot....)
New Word For The Day in about five minutes. Heads up!

(I love Reid Flemming)
I've had to ping myself a lot lately.........
It's moved on from there now. But I will note that we're in a quite rural locale, but also that the cougar population has been growing which has forced some into the suburban areas. Last year a couple young cougars were spotted in a city park (mostly playing fields) just down the road from Microsoft -- several miles in from the suburban/supra-rural boundary.
