Absurd!
Most folks consider
Chris Evert one of the most
stable, well balanced
women to emerge
from the teen superstar ranks.
But Evert once said
when she was playing
her entire playing mindset
was about pleasing
her father. Chris said
she didn't start playing for
herself until she
was nearly thirty. [!]
I think inside the mind of
teen super athletes
it's not too pleasant,
it's not young people living
a glamour, dream life . . .
You may be right about that at times, but I would say that Chris has been a very happy and well-adapted girl all her life. I see no scars on her, and Michelle Wie will be cool too.
Maria Sharapova is well-adapted and intelligent, and is doing things quite well. Not all kids get screwed up with the pressure from the parents.
