Well, I wanted to see Bernie GOldberg talk about his new book. And, he was the guest. Plus, I like Jon Stewart, even though it's clear he's no longer as independent as I had once hoped!
Oh and good to see you again.
that's so sweet
"How did Bush get to the White House?"
Rove
LOL....I think it is more appropriate when the Left calls Rove "Bush's Brain" because to me that is not a slight on Bush, but, more of a compliment to Rove.
Okay, now that that's settled, what's Rove's nickname for Bush?
Goldberg's book IS EXCELLENT. he is 100% on target about everything. It was the most refreshing thing I've read in ages!!!!!
Thanks for your nice post here, AmishDude. Nice to hear from you, too. :)
Stewart really gave him a tough time, and while I think Stewart made a valid point about Babs Streisand, I also think Godlberg was on target with saying lyrics demeaning to women (as in hip hop) DO impact the culture, which was a point Stewart would not agree with, and really should have agreed with. There is an impact on the culture, and DC is not the only place of real power in the world.
And, by that I mean: other forces in culture DO impact our nation.
Re your post #26 - Huh. I never thought to ask what nickname he would have for Bush.
But hey, they don't call me pollyannish for nuttin. ; )
I don't know if you can really have a nickname for the President that would be appropriate, him being leader of the free world and all.
IMO, Less mean, more high school behavior without context.
Though I wouldn't name a friend of mine that, but then, I'm not a guy. LOL
LOL...I see. Thanks. Now I understand why the President chose that nickname for Rove. And, I really didn't know that before posting this thread! :)
I've heard references to Bush calling Rove "The Architect."
