Personally, I think its a crime Eckstein is getting the starting job over Felipe Lopez as NL SS... Just a hunble opinion....from a Reds fan.

They still have a Final Vote deal coming up.
I urge all Freepers to vote for Torii Hunter :)

Eckstein was one of my favorites as an Angel. He has a way of sparking a team.

I have a feeling all of the Cardinal fans AND all of the Angel fans voted for him. He was a favorite in Anaheim. :-)

The Reds are pretty short on talent this year so seeing him succeed with his .321 avg and 14 HR... Nice little replacement for Larkin if you ask me.
If Felipe plays like this from here on out, dont expect too many more starts by Eckstein in the AS game. ;)

You know any selection will be challenged by the demonrats in the courts.

Any chance he'll shove more cameramen to the ground on
National TV during the game?
Noticeable shortage of Yankees. Sign seen at Fenway:
"Steinbrenner, fire Constanza!"

Clement will be first choice if any starting pitchers are "hurt"/unavailable (per A.L. AS manager, Francona...)

Eckstein was one of my favorites as an Angel. My wife has never forgiven them, he sent us a wedding present when I was doing my internship with them back in 01.

At least Gonzo made it as a reserve. The NL fans screwed up by not going for Chad Tracy. That boy is dealing with it.

I was sorry to see him go. Glaus, too, but Eckstein was just a class guy.

The OC register editorial called for a Camera Night promo next time he pitches at Anaheim Stadium. I was LOL when I read that thought it would be a great promo anywhere he pitches for the rest of his career.

Any chance he'll shove more cameramen to the ground on National TV during the game? When he was pulled from the Mariner game this afternoon, he was very subdued walking back to the dugout. Stared at the ground the whole way.

Glaus was (is) good but you don't know how long his back will hold out. McPherson will be a force to reckon with after a season or two. He is showing signs of serious power and a decent batting average once he gets acclimated.

I hope Tito lets each starter face one batter each and then lets Mo pitch the rest of the game until his arm falls off...
Timlin deserved a spot on this team.
And, no Jeter. Wow.

I'm listening to them right now. Darn MLB has it blocked out, but I can pick it up on internet radio. The Mariners are growing on me, but I still love my Angels!
