"He didn't need him until '83."
We all depend on God for every breath we take. I've been told by my mother, "God put me on this Earth for a purpose. And I'm so far behind in everything, I'm never going to die." That's quite quaint.

The fact of the matter is that we are put on this planet to accomplish a purpose for Him. He'll take us out whether we accomplish that purpose or not. And then there's the judgement to account for all of our failings. Scripture admonishes us to be wise stewards of everything (our time and all our assests). We all will have to give account as how or how not we did that.

On the 16th of this month a dear sister in my assembly dropped dead of a massive stroke at 46 years of age as she was sitting down to eat lunch at work. She's survived by a husband of 23 years to whom she was his first and only girlfriend, Katie (16), Jeannie (14) and Johnnie (11). If you even try to tell me she wasn't behind in her tasks and I'll laugh at you.

The phenomenon of low tropopause, or thin atmosphere that we find here seems to promote rapid change in temperature and air pressure. I have seen air pressure rise or fall an inch in hours without noticing associated effects such as hurricanes and tornados. The temperature can rise or fall 80 degrees overnight. It is the kind of thing that would manifest alarming meteors in the climates that have air.

Dude. When I worked in the station 0.06" in an hour or 0.02" since the last observation (with respect to specials) was considered rapid movement. What you're telling is astonishing. But then Khurkris' temp never devaiates from 82 Deg. F. (day or night).

I noticed it when I was trying to figure out why sometimes the vehicular noise from the highway is overwhelming and sometimes a whisper in spite of volume of traffic. Air pressure? Nope, the barometer might be lying, but probably not. Temperature? Nope, happens whether hot or cold. Metaphysical imprinting? TBD.

"metaphysical imprinting" that must be it. I've heard of this thing called EST. Its an explanation of why one can look various times in the mirror and percieve oneself as ugly and at other times not so ugly.

Although that barometric pressure thing may have something going for it in an objective (as opposed to subjective) sense. I believe that only a massive grant made out to me will be the road for true discernment in that regard.

Promised the kids all week we would take them to Warren Dunes in Michigan.....but just could not bring ourselves to do it with all this heat so did not go. I dunno if we even could have ran up and down that huge sand dune hill with the sand this hot on our feet. And I really miss the fact that we didn't sit on 80/94 for 4 hours today in the 95+ heat.... Hiding in the house eating watermelon, corn on the cob, sneaking outside everyonceinawhile to move the sprinkler... ah summer

I'm trusting you know where Romeoville is? That's where I got the specs that I posted. You can FreepMail me if Kankakee is closer to you than Romeoville. There was a significant THI all around Chicago today. So I don't know. All I know is it was hot here in Detroit and in Chicago areas.

I'll post a Skew-T (atmospheric sounding) later and my rain-sniffing assessments. Right now I can't smell anything but heat (and its going to get hotter).
