I've actually used it on tile too, you just have to be careful not to use too much or you get the fall-down-and-go-boom! effect

I wonder if it would work on hardwood floors - as that is all I have? Hmm. Good question. You could certainly try it, but IMHO, I'd apply the salt at night and sweep it up the next day.
Walking on it too much might cause fine scratches on the wood.

It can't hurt to try it.............I'll try it in the living room first - that's the floor that is most in need of refinishing, so if it were to scratch a bit it wouldn't be noticed....LOL!
