Penn is a self avowed libertarian, atheist, and secularist. He's a nice guy, but don't get the idea that he's conservative. He really isn't. He sort of models himself on The Amazing Randy (who I believe he said is one of his "heros"). He does not believe in anything that smacks of "the supernatural," and that includes religion.

BTW, even though he's of a libertarian bent, he has NEVER done drugs or gotten drunk, and will tell you that he's never had a drink. Though he believes that if you're dumb enough to do that to yourself, you have to pay the price.

He's not all bad, but not as Conservative as I'd like. He devoted a half-hour on his Bull$hit! show ripping apart the leftism disease on college campuses and shredded Noam Chomsky. Great stuff.

He is a libertarian. He's a big turn off to many conservatives because he is a rabid and intolerant atheist, but besides that, his Showtime show Bull Sh*t usually takes the conservative or libertarian view.
