I'm glad the Eagle is OK, but how do you get a bird to do your fishing for you?

Now PETA will have to call for extermination of the eagles, because fish are intelligent beings and the eagles didn't do an, um, environmental impact study....

Poor training IMO. The bird should have taken the fish to the kitchen.

The FAA should revoke that eagle's license.

I've had it a while - thought it was an amazing shot.
The original file name was "friends to the end".
Mother Nature and her creatures - wild.

Some years ago, I was working outside in front of my house when I heard a fairly large "Splat!" out in front of me. I looked around to see what caused the noise and then noticed a good sized fish of about three pounds laying in the road. Now, the nearest water was the Delaware river and that was a good 1/4 mile away so I was baffled. Bizarre stuff.
Then, I heard a screeching noise above me and looked up. There were two Red Tailed Hawks circling and watching me. I imagine they had been fighting over the fish when it "got away".

Wow...incredible image!!!! We nearly had a red-tailed hawk through our car window just a week or so ago and as it barely missed us this image popped into my head:
Not something I wanted to experience 1st hand!
I worked with non-releasable raptors and many of them were non-releasable because of permanent damages resulting from collisions with vehicles.
