I love threads honoring our flag, it's history, traditions etc. I believe Billie will be having a special treat for us honoring flag day at the Finest also.
Well I watered for 3 hours this morning, washed one of my vans(that was covered with pollen & tree sap) & have clothes hung on the line... if this doesn't work to get rain, I do the naked water prayer dance later this evening on my front lawn

Good morning, Dolly.
I saw where the Finest is celebrating Flag Day tomorrow; I need a new flag so I won't be posting a picture of mine. I do have several pictures that I've taken of flags in our area. I will post one of them.
I think all the men at Amy's will be doing a Don't Rain Dance. With all the rain that your area has had the last few days, I can't believe you've had none. I'm hoping you get rain now instead of the latter part of July. :)
Have a great Monday.

I can't believe how we have missed it either Amy. I look on radar & see it all over. Drove thru it coming back from the lake the other evening.. a few miles from my house. DRY. The other night I could see/hear thunderboomers & heard about all the rain in various communities. NOT HERE. Right now I just went out & there is a light mist. very light. But there is a resulting cloud cover & so it is a bit cooler.
I too need to replace my flag. I have a new one but not up yet. It is smaller than the one I have flying. Will try to do inside &outside pix. Mine is in front picture window & my computers are in front of that window/flag.

Now mid-way through the previous episode, Vaughn was ready to give Lauren a shove out
the matrimonial door, but now it's just a supportive hand on the back ...

I forgot about Alec. Seems he/we were hoping to celebrate a day early.

I'm back.
I said I wasn't going to waste my time but I watched the Jackson verdict. I was surprised with the verdict; I expected at least one or two guilty verdicts.

I empathize. Here are my letters to FoxNews:
People who watch Brit Hume's Special Report have NO interest in the Jackson trial or what its jurors think.
STOP pre-empting your serious news show with the frivolous alerts that affects very few of us.
D. Oesy, NYC
Your preempting of Hume's Special Report is outrageous. Interviewing the Jackson jurors is appropriate for Shepard Smith's pop news about the trivial and about celebrities, but not for a serious news show.
When are you going to make up the time lost? Why do you demean FoxNews? When are you going to get rid of your Programming Director? His/her judgment has failed repeatedly.
D. Oesy, NYC
Grrrrr!

Excellent.
I don't know what has become of the news media. They grab a story and rerun the same info at least a dozen times. They refuse to let a story develop.

The Fog
The fog came in so quietly, its purr was rather muted,
It seemed in such a playful mood. The sky was all transluted.
It shrouded all the buildings, and made their edges soft,
And silence filled up everything, until somebody coughed!
The mist absorbed the noise so made, as if so far away,
It could have been an echo from some sound another day.
The fog was curious, looking in, and checking every space,
And nose-to-nose, it rudely rose, and stared in every face!
Playfully, it glided round, and stalked its unseen prey.
And cotton-soft, it crept about, Nights Shadow into Day!
Then finally, a target found! As swiftly as could be,
It coalesced into a cloud, and gave a kiss to me!

Good evening, Victoria.
I've been working on a reply to you but I may have to skip it. This is taking much too long.
Hope you had a great Monday and enjoyed Shavout.

Evening Amy, the important thing is that you replied, LOL.
Hope you're having a wonderful evening.
To: NicknamedBob
Wonderful, Bob.
That is a lovely poem. It makes me almost look forward to the foggy weather.
Did I say that? I must be really stressed.
