The man who understands #2 and #3 can easily navigate through a lot of problems. In essence: shut up and think about your problems while she is talking about hers, remembering to look interested and nod sympathetically once in a while. You'll both be happy. ;)

When you cast an eye over a handsome guy, on the other hand, (go on, admit it, you know you do), you're subtle about it. Women have the reflection trick down cold. Usually when they are standing within twenty feet or so they will be working so hard not to look directly at you that it's obvious (and pretty funny), but if you look at the nearest angled window or other reflective surface a lot of times you'll catch her looking quickly away. ;)
