Yes, they seem quite happy.

The most enterprising thing I did today was take my car to the girl scout fundraising car wash this morning - which is how I wound up out of the house all day - limiting 2 6yo friends who had not seen each other in several weeks to a 30 minute visit was just not going to happen.........I'm sure you understand :)

Of course it didn't bother me all that much - got me out of the house and a chance to yak with my friend about stuff other than Moose Lodge business. Since she and I took over the women's chapter - that is about all we ever seem to talk about.

I do real work, too - just not real life work like they do in addition to their real work.

Looks like I am the only night owl tonight. I am on call and wide awake after two calls so far. I hope I do not meet up with our mama and baby bear that are cruising the neighborhood these nights. I think I would panic.

"panic"

I'd be frozen in place and screaming blue murder if I encountered a bear under any circumstances...

This is my favorite time of the day to be the only one awake-everything quiet because hubby, the dog and cat are asleep, birds singing and a favorite book to read...

The people watching was interesting last night at dinner-my neighbor and I remarked to our hubbys that you can certainly tell that the summer season has started-we'd seldom seen so many obese summer people in one place chowing down on chicken fried steak, french fries and pie. There truly are some women who should not go to dinner in a restaurant in a bathing suit with a coverup over it-these looked like brightly colored, self-propelled tents and shook the floor when they walked. Perhaps I'm weird, but it actually spoils my appetite to look at people like that, not to mention that most of them are rude, act like they are slumming and all of us dumb locals should be impressed with them, their boats and their SUVs...

I also dislike those kind of people.

Same here.

Right now I'm just killing some time until the garden center opens - I didn't get around to getting there yesterday.

oh how fun. i think i am completely done planting, i will have to see how stuff fills in, but it looks good so far. my idea was to cram so much in the bed so that weeds would not have room to sprout! since i only plant perennials, mostly, and this is the 4th year or so that i have been planting, and stuff tends to spread, it is looking really quite good. the annuals on the back deck look great too.

sounds great!!!!

After 4 years of planting perennials you've almost planted yourself out of gardening in the near future :)

well not quite in the near future. we have a back corner that is au naturel, i would eventually like to have it cleared out and put something, not yet sure what, back around that side of the house. the walkout finished basement comes out over there and i would like a side patio someday going out onto a garden back there. it would cost a lot to do that, so i am biding my time, there are other things i want to do first.

I understand the biding of time, I really do.

I started this message about 2 minutes after you posted and Jax informed me she didn't close the door all the way when she went outside - 15 minutes to recapture the run away is probably a record for me :)
