There was a guy on FR named Chancellor Palpatine?
Oh, yeah...
Who do you think he was named for?

Chancellor Palpatine left here almost 2 years ago. Has it been that long?!

OK, maybe more like 1.5 years. Yeah, it was fall of '03. I forget what the big hardcore issue was, but there was a TS like battle he was involved in bigtime.

Hey, I have no problem with an aggressive approach to the WOT, but blowing up the planet might just be a tad excessive.

I still wonder what actually got him banned (and what his current FR name is).

I saw a hell of a lot nastier stuff than that in the last round of TS Stuff that didn't get the post pulled, never mind getting the people suspended or banned.
I don't think he's back at all. He seemed to have a style all his own. Intelligent, but real caustic. Sure there are people here like that now, but not quite the same.
Of course online, you never know.

>>The following two points:
* "NO!" to open borders and illegal aliens in America.
and
* "NO!" to tax increases.
Are mutually contradictory.
You're going to need to hire a lot more federal employees to do the former. They have to be paid.<<
Why did you stop thinking at Step One?
Remove 20 million illegal aliens from America and poof away go all the federal jobs that currently are in place providing them with federal services. I'd guess it probably numbers close to a million federal employees. I'll trade those for ICE agents any day of the week!
Depending upon which state you live in, again, poof away go police officers, probation officers, judges, court clerks, prison guards, translators in every state, count and city office there is in existence, teachers, clerks at the Dept of Motor Vehicles or what ever the name is in your state, welfare clerks, and you-name-it positions in every other agency that we have now to try for some resemblance of order. I am sure every department will reduce their staffing costs by some percentage. Some more than others certainly.
When was the last time your property taxes were reduced because they didn't need that much money to fund the offices?

I don't wonder. I'm just glad he's banned.
I've never encountered someone so anti-life who still pretended to be a conservative.
