It is 67, gloomy, windy and has been sprinkling off and on since morning-there go my plans for outdoor work, so I'm doing laundry and housework instead. Hubby went to Home Depot 20 miles away, and we've got to go vote in the school board (hoping to get rid of all the dumbass incumbents) and the river/watershed authority elections, to which we hope to elect a neighbor to the board from our district.

ronnie should not HAVE TO refuse to eat in or cook or have her kids eat in or cook, HER HUSBAND should be calling around and have made provisions for all of the MOTHERS in his life to have a nice mothers day out somewhere! robt, i am scandalized that you have not taken care of this before now!

We don't live in "town" but the name is Temperanceville...and as you might imagine, there are no taverns around.

It was definitely in the upper 60s today and the gloomy weather cleared off very early this morning.........unfortunately it was still way too wet and cool this morning to do anything in the garden - hopefully tomorrow.

I spent the better part of the afternoon going through the mail at the Moose Lodge, after having taken Jax to get her hair done. Hubby met us at the Lodge and brought Jax home, and I picked up 100 clams on my way home for dinner.

Good luck on your elections.

Your idea is still right - no mom involved should be doing the planning :)

A little matronly advice goes a long way. Happy Mom's Day to St. Ronnie!

I just got an e-mail from hubby's sister informing me that she and her husband will be arriving to visit for a few days in mid May-they are bringing a truckload of furniture to their daughter who lives in Brownsville and will be coming to see us on their way back. I'm glad I have some lead time to get everything ready for company and schedule my work so I can take my sister-in-law to all the junque shops, which she loves as much as I do. Her husband will be happy with the key to the boat and some fishing gear to keep him busy while my hubby is at work and she and I are shopping for stuff for her to fill the bed of his pickup with for their return trip home...

Happy Mother's Day, y'all! My daughter treated me to dinner last night because she is working today, but Husky girl and Kitty boy haven't done anything out of the ordinary yet...
