I once, and only once, went to the salon for a "wave", not a perm..........a poodle is the perfect way to describe what I looked like - so I totally sympathize with your daughter as I also have naturally curly hair.
The gal at the salon was hilarious........she remembered the first time we brought her there and asked me what kind of damage had she done this time!!!!!

Thanks for understanding about the hair length thing. she's totally thrilled with it and to be honest, she looks absolutely adorable, even with my sewing scissor (botched) job. Dana is going to fix that Saturday.
Dana was actually very funny when we were on the phone - the first thing she asked me was "what has she done now?"....she remembered the fiasco of Jax cutting her hair the week before school picturs being taking over a year ago!!!!
The zero tolerance crapola has gotten out of hand every where, even in many private schools.
Not all public schools are cesspools of liberalism, nor are they all controlled by the NEA. Many are, and I will never deny that, in fact I will be the first to condemn them for it. It's part of the reason we live where we do now.

forget the time of the dang movie - I don't go to see a movie in a "movie theater" because they are just danged uncomfortable to fold my 36inch inseam legs into one of the seats.
As to time of movie - I used to be a regular at midnight showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show in Greenwich Village. Of course that was back in the day of movie theaters that were comfortable to be in.

Thank you for the sympathy. I was totally without a clue as how to deal with it. I think I was more embarrassed about my lack of knowlege of dealing with it than the "stigma" attached to it.
I'm going to follow the same plan as my mail carrier told me she does in the future - keep a supply of the stuff to combat it before it happens - first word of it in the school, treat her head.
I'm know it's much worse in the blue parts of the state, but the flatlanders 30 minutes away in Ann Arbor are starting to push for it here too.

Other than suggesting you run for the school board, I don't know what to suggest, my FRiend.
Although now I can't do that anymore. Agewise I'm more of an uncle than a cousin to some of them. My younger cousin's kids are older than some of my first cousins.
