Siren test scheduled Tuesday
A live test of Baxter County tornado warning sirens will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, weather permitting.
According to a press release, the Baxter County Office of Emergency Management wants to make sure all sirens are at top performance.
Those who live close to a siren should call Baxter County Training Center at 481-6252 if the siren does not emit the high-low alert tone and the steady all-clear tone.
Do not call 911 with this information, the release stated.
Ummm, nothing???
Well, I'm thinking that if bad weather prevents the TEST working, what are the chances the system is going to work when it needs to warn people of bad weather.

We have a situation here that is just unreal. At the new jail, there are only 2 people there at night (not sure about in the daytime). If one goes downstairs and gets into a problem with an inmate, the one upstairs can, under no circumstances, leave his position to go assist. He has to call the cops.
Yeah, we kinda have a keystone cops and prosecutors here. We could be the model for a spoof on "Law and Order."
