Oh, the whole day. We are extremely traditional.
No. Just the ones who extract info from terrorist scum.
Boy, did we have an endless grab bag of party games! Put the leash on the bad kid, who can stand on the box longest without lowering their arms, how many kids can we pile up into a pyramid, it was a hoot. We even brought in some growling dogs from the local petting zoo.
I'm a traditionalist, at heart.
I think it's really great that you are getting your kids involved. It's important to lay the foundation for family traditions and holiday observance at a young age. They will never forget Abu Ghraib Day if you get them into it! Then it'll be exciting for you 20 years from now to see them adding their own traditons in....*sniffle*...I almost get teary just thinking about it!
I could be mistaken, but I think you are giving that Neandertal Lucy-wanna be waaaay too much credit.

a) she volunteered to serve our country
b) she was not in charge of the interrogation
c) I have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER using sexual humiliation to get the pukes to talk

Hey man, I say poke em in the eyes with toothpicks if that's what it takes. But to do the things she did while having her picture taken, in essence giving people a way to humiliate the Army and the US, is the sign of an absolute moron. And I do not think she was doing any of the things she did in order to obtain info. I think those particular people were just screwing around simply for the fun of it. And she's a moron.

They were morons for taking the pics, no doubt. But according to all I've read, they to this day use sexual humiliation to get info. Apparently some are not adept at it, as may have been the case with Lyndie's group. But punish her for being stupid, but not for following orders!
She is a knuckle dragger, and the military is better off without her apparent inability to make good decisions. Graner, too. If for no other reason than they were behaving inappropriately in their off time, in such ways that ARE punishable in the military, the military is better off with out them. Period.

Only one problem.
Someone needs to point out to Senator Kennedy that the real anniversary for this event was back in January. It was one year ago in January that one of the HONORABLE soldiers at Abu Ghraib reported the investigations and the Army's investigation began.
Yesterday, Kennedy was merely celebrating the date that the dimocrats started using the abuses as a tool to abuse the president.
