What are the guys who made Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken chart-toppers going to do with Bo, who looks like he walked out of an Allman Brothers album jacket? If Bo wins or is the runner-up, the AI folks will probably stick with his strong-suit: Southern Rock.

What about something from Chicago? Guys and Dolls? Or even Grease? Exactly. The song choices were horrible. Just like last week, again they chose crappy songs. I think talent and versatility are the keys.

I say they should remove the semi pros and return AI back to the amateurs like it was supposed to be.

If Bo wins or is the runner-up, the AI folks will probably stick with his strong-suit: Southern Rock. Two weeks ago, after Bo performed perhaps the shortest version of "Freebird" in history, remember what Simon said? "I think [America] is going to say, 'What the hell was that?'" Randy Jackson, who knows his rock, questioned why Simon didn't know what it was. But as things turned out, that performance nearly ended his dream. Simon, apparently, was right.
There is a frightening dearth of authentic rock-and-roll in the Billboard 200 charts. When people said hip-hop would be a fad like disco, I knew better, but I never imagined it would take over like it has.
Rock ain't dead yet, but as Huey Lewis said, "The old man may be barely breathing."

I'm with you on Bo's version of "Freebird"--it was like a Vegas act. But that was just one song. He's already recorded music with Jonny Neal of the Allman Brothers and earlier in the semi-finals of AI he sang an AWESOME version of "Whipping Post". Simon was so impressed he nearly gave him a standing-O.
If AI ends up marketing his CD then they would be wise to remember Bo's rock roots and not try to shape him into somekind of a pop tart.

He seems to be limited to only one style. Not very versatile.I keep hearing this, but, people, HE'S A WEDDING SINGER. I can't imagine many wedding receptions that are limited to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Allman Bros. songs! (Of course, I don't live in Alabama...)

Well, I think that when Nadia got voted off that was the first time the audience let us down. But if what you are saying is true, it will become a true race to the bottom.

Bo is not plain vanilla, he has a definite style, and he knows who he is musically. He's a rocker, and he's very good at it. If you don't like that style that's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that he's talented.
Personally, I like everything--country, rock, classical, pop, jazz....and I think the two most talented contestants are Bo and Carrie. Constantine (whom I don't like personally AT ALL) is showing he has a bit more to work with than I originally suspected. If he would shower and stop trying to make love to the camera he'd be less revolting. Everyone else can just go home, sing in church or karaoke bars....IMHO.

I'm not surprised. I always suspected a campaign to "vote the worst" was going on. However, every singer on Idol has their group of devoted fans. Others may disagree with my choice, but I sincerely believe my candidate is the best and deserves the top prize.
Last season, I voted consistently for Jasmine Trias. I felt bad when she was voted out. I didn't even vote after that. If Jasmine puts out a CD, I'd buy it. I never understood why others put her down so badly, but they gushed all over Fantasia, who I couldn't stand. Fantasia's personality was Yucko, IMO.
This season, I've been voting for Constantine and Bo. Don't talk to me about Carrie and Vonzell. Connie and Bo are my candidates.

Bo was my candidate when he did that awesome version of "Whipping Post". When he puts out a new CD of professional quality (not the "old" CD from 2000 that's available online from his band Sugar Money), I'll buy it.

In defense of Scott Savol, if you listen to his vocals without watching the screen...he sounds great. Much better than Nadia and Anwar in vocal quality. He can really belt out the tunes. I enjoyed his version of "Everlasting Love".
However, the candidates I'm voting for are Bo and Constantine.

Did anyone notice Simon's crack to Carrie, You look like a cross between Barbie and the Stepford Wives? Very cruel and possibly damaging to her. Not a good thing to put in voters' minds that Carrie is a Barbie Doll.
It's demeaning, and it diminishes her talent. Besides, a lot of women really hate the Barbie Doll image that they grew up seeing idealized in the media and fashion mags. Barbie was the ideal. "There she is, Miss America. Miss Skinny. Miss Airhead."
