I'd like to see this, just because I like Bill Pullman - he's got good roots.
The apostle John didn't write it. It was someone else who happened to be named John.
The book was NAMED " A Kingdom of Their own" ---"Their"- not being Christians I believe........
ROFL!!! Thanks for the 'preview'. Just more garbabe from Hollyweird. The producer will need to ask Jesus for protection from the stalking financial backers, when this miniseries meets its demise.
Catholic Ping - Please freepmail me if you want on/off this list
Yes it does. It's a movie. It's fiction. Even when adapting novels for TV they change them.
If Hollywood isn't already the Whore of Babylon it's hard to imagine what more it takes to win the title.
...is the common NEW AGE MYSTICAL BIBLES of today's perverts.
...'ECT'...Evangelicals and Catholics Together...will LOVE this symbolic gnostic story.
...'KJV'...Fundamentalists will HATE this... GNOSTIC-MAGIC...anti-christian...(ANTI-REAL Jesus of Nazareth Coming Again)....Harry Potter Baby story!
st Luke 24:39
/Revelationssssssssss,......Channelingssssssss,.......Lies!
...'This Revelations T.V. Story Is a Lie from Liars' (MSM)....
....But Bible Truth REVELATION is,.....About the Absolute Literal Promises of God in His Absolute Literal Bible Holy Scripture,....Promises from God who CANNOT Lie...(Titus 1:2)
"It was someone else who happened to be named John."
Are we being sarcastic or serious?
Because if you're serious, then you have some bad information.
"Isn't this like sacrelig (sp?)? Or at the very least blasphemy - using God, His Word, the Bible and religion to gain viewers and money from it? "
No moreso than "Passion" was. And I don't think "Passion" was sacrilege, for the record.
That's funny, I was just thinking about Jesus when he and his boys payed the temple tax. His instruction might be such:
1) catch a fish
2) look in mouth (the fish's mouth)
3) pull out money (should amount to twice that owed)
4) pay "the man"
I think that stories that tell the lives of the Saints would gather much interest.
??
That some disagree with it doesn't mean it's bad information. The belief that John the apostle wrote it is a religous belief, not a historical one.
Not even all churches insist the apostle wrote it.

"John of Patmos wrote Revelation. This is a different person than John the beloved disciple who is credited with writing the Gospel of John. John of Patmos, the author of Revelation, was an itinerant prophet and preacher who traveled throughout Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) preaching in the small home churches that were emerging throughout the Greco-Roman world in the first century. John was preaching in the 80's and 90's AD just 20 or 30 years after the death of Paul and 50 or 60 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus. During this time, the Roman Emperor Domitian had begun persecuting Christians throughout the empire. Some scholars suggest that John was exiled to the island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea by Roman authorities for his preaching. It was there, on Patmos, that John was given the prophetic vision that we call the book of Revelation."
What do you think this is, a documentary on the Rapture?
Repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
SD
Then why didn't Mel Gibson give the movie out for free?
"You're wrong about Passion. I believe Passion was made to get the word out to people, not to make money from. "
I'm not wrong. I very clearly typed that I didn't think 'Passion' was sacrilege. I too didn't see it as a way to make money...although I also haven't seen Mel giving away his millions as Jesus commanded to those who would attempt to follow him!!
And yeah - I think you're probably right on 'Revelations' too. Looks like alot of tripe to me too.
